New President of Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission Sends Letter to Every Senator

WASHINGTON, D.C., JUNE 20, 2013 – Earlier today, Dr. Russell Moore, the newly elected president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, sent a letter to every Senator reaffirming the Southern Baptist Convention’s commitment to passing compassionate and commonsense immigration reform.

The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission is the public-policy arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation’s largest non-Catholic denomination, with nearly 16 million members worshipping in more than 46,000 autonomous local congregations.
